Edwardian Estate
This beautiful Edwardian estate from 1910 is set in 7 acres including woodland, tennis court, walled garden, formal garden, and original features such as stone seats, steps and walls and had suffered from long-term benign neglect.
Our brief was to retain as much of the original features as possible and sensitively restore and conserve the garden, whilst creating an environment for a modern family. Extensive work was undertaken including surveys, conservation management plans, the engagement of contractors to undertake tree work, stone restoration, planting and more.
Updated additions included a large stone terrace to enable the family to entertain and enjoy the gardens, a swimming pool and extensive new planting, all designed by us.
As well as project management, we advised on the purchase of new tools and machinery; maintenance plans were written, and our own team of gardeners assisted in the renovation of the planting, the orchard, the walled garden, and pergola walkway.
