Georgian Rectory
This long-term project began ten years ago with a consultation. A stunning Georgian rectory with older wings, extensive gardens, a walled garden, woodland, and a grotto as well as beautiful veteran trees, the garden had been poorly managed and maintained and needed careful consideration and restoration.
A long-term plan was put in place as well as extensive replanting of trees, shrubs, and perennial borders. Renovation pruning was one of the main initial tasks, bringing an old Wisteria back to life and engaging tree surgeons to conserve the older trees.
Over the years the driveway was remodelled and replanted as well as many new trees including a glade of multi-stem trees for spring interest.
We designed new areas in the garden including new seating and planting as well as planting new hedging for privacy and removing old unnecessary pathways.
