Large walled garden

This wonderful property comprises a range of old farm buildings and a beautiful barn conversion. We were given the brief to maintain the gardens as well as improve the planting in the longer term.

The star of the garden is a very large walled garden, containing trees, shrubs, and perennials. We assessed the existing planting and adapted and added fruit trees, ornamental trees, arches to support roses and clematis as well as an avenue of Nepeta and Lavender.

The extensive grounds also contain an orchard, a meadow, formal borders, and a swimming pool, which we designed and specified materials as well as planting also designed and implemented by us.

Meadow establishment took place over 2-3 years and bulbs were added each autumn to augment the planting.
